This course, conducted in English, addresses the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requirements in Ontario. It is important to note that not all disabilities are visible, yet approximately 15.5% of Ontarians live with a disability. These may include vision impairments, deafness or hearing loss, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or mental health conditions.
The AODA, established by the Ontario Government, aims to make the province accessible to everyone by eliminating barriers wherever possible. The legislation mandates that all employers and employees in Ontario complete training on the AODA and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
